IBV and Siemens lead QWin to success
QWin, the realtime-virtualizer for QNX and Windows, is used in the real world by real customers - crowned with success. Siemens AG in Germany runs the controlling software of letter sorting machines with QWin, the product of the german software engineering company IBV. Siemens has deployed over 700 sorting machines to an important international logistic company.
"The operational capability of the new virtualizer QWin and the easy integration to the control unit of the letter sorting machine exceeded all our expectations.
We feel very happy about the continuance of our application's realtime capabiltity at any time. Thus the expected determinism and the high-speed sorting output together with our customer's predetermined Windows interface are guaranteed.
Thanks to the good documentation of QWin and the very constructive cooperation with IBV we managed very shortly to run our existing QNX application together with the Windows framework on one common PC. By now we are sorting in an outstanding reliable way about 30 millions letters per hour with 750 machines at our customer's premises",
said the responsible development manager at Siemens AG, Mobility Division - Infrastructure Logistics.
At the embeddedworld 2010 in Nuremberg IBV has an own booth: No. 11-426 in hall 11. Contact: info@ibv-augsburg.net
